Dedicated to ensuring that all development in Woodford—whether housing, infrastructure, or commercial projects—is approached thoughtfully, sustainably, and with respect for our environment, heritage, and community well-being.
We acknowledge that some development proposals may be approved. Our priority is to make sure any changes are carefully planned, sustainable, backed by an "infrastructure services first" policy, and involve community input. Development should never come at the expense of losing greenbelt land, harming ecosystems, overburdening infrastructure, or diminishing quality of life.

Harrow (Redrow) are looking to bypass the local council's decision to reject their planning application of a further 540 houses in Woodford Garden Village. If approved it would mean:
More traffic
Higher risk of flooding
More pressure on local services
Loss of green spaces
Loss of natural habitats e.g. bats & deer

A total of 3769 houses are currently being considered across all nearby developments which is on top of Woodford Garden Villages existing 950 and would create a massive cumulative impact on Woodford, Bramhall and neighbouring areas.
This would increase Woodford's housing by over 250% from 1500 to 5269.
Existing flooding, drainage and sewage issues would worsen without major upgrades.
Infrastructure strain: Schools, GPs, and utilities are near capacity.
Chester Road and local routes are already congested. These would only get worse with over 7500 more local cars (assuming 2 per household).
Very limited public transport — meaning more cars on already busy roads.
Environmental impact: Loss of green space & increased flood risk.
Wildlife impact: Loss of habitat for bats & deer.
Affordable housing targets unlikely to be achieved, Shared Ownership should be promoted over Housing Associations that have no interest in the local community.
All this before even considering the impact Adlington New Town may have on our community, environment and infrastructure.
There's still time to act!
To date, Harrow have under delivered on almost all of their development obligations from cycle ways to tree planting. We need to make them accountable for their existing and future obligations.
